God Always Has A Ram In The Bush

Genesis 22:13-14
“Abraham looked around and saw a ram caught in a bush by its horns. He went and got it and offered it as a burnt offering instead of his son. Abraham named that place “The Lord Provides.” And even today people say, “On the Lord 's mountain he provides.””

What's your story because everyone has a story?

Test of your life?

Ever climbed a mountain of heartache?

Have you ever lost or feel you might lose what is dearest to you?

God Always Has A Ram in the Bush

 Truths About Tests

1. You don't get to pick the place or the sacrifice

  • For Abraham it was Mt. Moriah, some 50-60 miles walking in 3 days.

  • It was no easy trip.C an you imagine knowing what God is asking of you? He looked at his son as he slept by the fire knowing what God is asking.

  • Listen let me remind you that you're aren't exempt from the trials of life because you are a believer.

  • But because we are believers we don't see trials like others do.

1 Peter 1:6-7
“So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while. These trials will show that your faith is genuine. It is being tested as fire tests and purifies gold—though your faith is far more precious than mere gold. So when your faith remains strong through many trials, it will bring you much praise and glory and honor on the day when Jesus Christ is revealed to the whole world.”

You don't get to pick the place or the sacrifice, but know that the God Who does picked it with purpose and put a plan in place not to destroy you, or ruin you, but to prepare you for bigger and better things.

For Jesus it was a garden. It was in the Garden of Gethsemane that the ultimate battle was won. If the devil could stop Jesus there then he would have prevented Calvary.

But Christ cried "Not my will..."

Its fascinating to me that the ultimate defeat started in a garden and in a garden God took back what the devil stole.

And whether your battle ground looks like a mountain or a breath taking garden, God has a Ram in the Bush - a provision for your victory!

2. Don't make permanent decisions over temporary circumstances

  • Here's a warning and a good piece of advice, don't make a big decision when you're in the trial.

  • Abraham didn't alter his course, he pressed on.

  • Deep in his soul he knew God was just and God would take care of him.

  • Isaac the promised child/miracle child

  • It was that moment Abraham could have diverted and faltered. He could have developed his own plan, but instead he chose to trust in the Lord and His provisions.

  • And that's the only decision we should make, not make a plan B or a back up plan if God doesn't come through. God had a plan. God chose a Ram and placed him in the Bush and waited for Abraham to express his faith.

  • Can I tell you that's all God wants from you and me is an expression of faith in Him that all of His promises are true and He's a good good Father!

3. Know this, there are some things that God can trust you with now that He couldn't trust you with before.

  • When you go to the mountain or spend a weeping night in the Garden, you prove you can abide in Him.

  • And if you abide in Him and He abides in you, you can what you will and it shall be done!

  • If you endure he weeping for a night, joy will come in the morning!

  • If you can endure to the end Jesus said you'll be saved.

Let me tell you your trial hasn't caught got by surprise . Long before the test came God rounded up a Ram and led him to the Bush and he's there proving again that He is Jehovah Jireh, the God Who provides!

Long before your moment of trial came The Lamb of God became our provision and through Him we have all things according to His riches!
